The Ventura 20 is a charming, modern nod to last century America. The combos that were so popular in the United States and abroad in the 1950s and 1960s had a small wattage and were powered by a 6v6 power amplifier. This also applies to this brand new Ventura. The 1x12” combo has a classic vinyl 'Two-Tone' look and is built with Baltic Birch construction. A feast for the eyes of course, but what are the technical specs?
 
The 20 Watt combo is equipped with a Koch 12 Vg12-60 speaker and two channels that share the passive 3-way tone control. This way you can set your bass, mid and treble tones the way you want. Switching between the channels is easy with the included foot switch.
 
The clean channel is clear and light in tone, with a spanky mid-range and full low-end. This channel fits nicely into your pedal collection. The distortion channel is an experience in itself: with its thick, saturated tones you can choose a saturated blues sound, but also a nice medium gain rock sound.
 
The 6v6 tubes in this power amp provide a very balanced EQ response with smooth, clear overtones and very powerful bass. And would you like to give your sound some extra shape? Then you can use the reverb tank, or the serial buffered FX loop to which you can connect your favorite effects pedals. In short, with the Ventura you can count on a wide range of possible sounds!
