Who doesn't know the iconic model from 1954? The model was shown for the first time and was supposed to be an affordable LP of its big brother. Initially this junior was called a Les Paul/SG body, but after 3 years it became definitively Junior. No binding, no sculpted top, one pickup, one volume knob and one tone knob had to be the basis to get the price down.
 
The list of artists is long. Billie Joe Armstrong (Greenday) John Lennon, Mick Jones, Peter Frampton, Bob Marley etc. All praise this model. Later Gibson made several variations.
