The new Koch Twintone combo amplifier has had a major facelift and the result is impressive: a good dose of restyling on the inside and outside, without losing the best features of the Twintone I and II. Ideal for every metal guitarist!
 
This amplifier is compact in size and relatively light, but appearances can be deceiving: this amp has a portion of power, ease of use and versatility that is worth mentioning! The EL34 Power Tubes deliver 50 Watts of power to drive the combo, both on their own and in combination with Koch extension speakers.
 
The Twintone III has a larger housing than its predecessors, which gives the amplifier a deeper and warmer bass. However, the open and well-articulated sound of the Twintone I and II has been retained. The famous clean channel has also not changed in this version. So you can expect the crystal clear, warm and pure sound as you have come to expect from previous Twintones. The overdrive channel has been given a new voice, giving the crunch and lead tones a more complex and rich sound, full of definition and depth. That transition from a pristine, clean sound to crunch or saturated overdrive with tireless sustain has never been so good!
 
The Twintone III's 'Bright Clean' guitar input slightly trims the mids for humbucking pickups. This means that the pure sound of the Twintone III is available for every guitar, regardless of which pickups you choose! Of course there is much more to say about this combo. This amp with its great price range will amaze you, especially if you compare it with other high-end amplifiers that should deliver at least twice as much.
