The S520 has a humbucker pickup in both the neck and bridge that deliver wide and powerful sounds for genres from blues to metal. Thanks to the fast response in the bass range, convincing midrange and precise treble definition, the pickup set is ideal for fast licks and percussive staccato riffs.
 
The Ibanez 5-way circuit allows the neck humbuckers to be connected in parallel, while the middle positions allow both humbuckers to be mixed in single or double coil operation for versatile sounds.
 
The guitar includes an Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge and the hardware is Cosmo Black.
