Glenn Fricker is one of Revv's first advocates and a lifelong opponent of the dull, sterile guitar sound. Together with Revv, he sought to combine Revv’s signature high-gain tones with a sound inspired by the legendary HM-2. The Swedish chainsaw sound is the gritty, chaotic tone of the most aggressive metal genres, but it can also be mixed with your traditional high-gain sound to add bite, character, and make your tone memorable.

One half of the Northern Mauler is a custom-tailored high-gain Revv amplifier tone, and the other is our tribute to the HM-2. The Blend knob gives you complete control, from 100% Amp Circuit to 100% Chainsaw Circuit, and everything in between. Use a mix of tones to transform your clean channel into a metal beast, boost your high-gain amp with the Chainsaw Circuit, plug it straight into a power amp, or use it with your recording interface and impulse responses.
