We say Pelham Blue limited edition!
And we can confirm that it is limited because we had to wait light years for it.
The Japanese custom shop has put extra effort into this custom color. But? It was well worth the wait.
Just like the other Les Paul models from the Vintage series, this Japanese has a two-piece African mahogany back with a two-piece Canadian Maple top. The set-neck made of African mahogany has a comfortable hybrid 50's/60's profile and an Indian rosewood fingerboard and at the headstock you can find a Cow Bone nut over which the strings run. This in combination with Medium Size Jumbo frets makes it a truly classic model with the looks and feel.
The original Paf vintage MK-2 pickups are of super quality as the historic Pafs should be and give the guitar a wonderful vintage sound. And have you seen the Tokai Kluson Style machine heads and LS-VB bridge yet? Classic as it should be with an LP model.
The Urethane Pelham Blue finish also makes it very beautiful to look at without sacrificing resonance. What is special about this limited edition is that the back is also completely spray-painted in the same color. Beautiful piece of artwork by Tokai.
For the non-experts, Urethane lacquer is a slightly thicker lacquer that will sound more and more resonant after a lot of playing. Before that happens, you have to work to get there yourself. As a result, you get a guitar that is within reach of many people when we talk about budget.
All in all a great guitar that you must try. Just looking at this guitar is a treat.
Come by and be convinced that you can play classic riffs without needing a custom shop guitar.
