The tube amps from Koch amplifiers are unparalleled. Not surprising when you consider that Dolf Koch founded his company in 1988 and presented his first tube amplifier in 1991. In our showroom we have the core models available as standard in our shop. These amps are fully powered tube amps. In these amps you can find EL84, EL34 or 6v6 with 12AX7 pre-amp tubes. Each amp also has its own design, so it also has its own character.

We often say that a tube amp is the holy grail. Nowadays, a laptop with a number of plug-ins is useful for a touring musician, but you often hear the musician say that playing a great tube amp in your studio or practice room, seeing the tubes glow and then hearing that great sound, that ultimately gives that euphoric feeling.

We regularly receive questions about the differences between the Koch models. On our website you can find all the specs for the models and what the character of the amp is. So when you read the Cassictone II you quickly get an idea of what sound this amp produces, right? But we always say that the best way to get a good answer to those questions is to visit us in the shop so that you can hear, feel and experience the difference with your guitar yourself. No photo or video can compete with that.

There are so many differences that it cannot be explained in a few lines. You have to hear it and experience it.

Differences

For example, a Classictone II has EL84 tubes. On the other hand, the Ventura has 6v6 tubes and gives a completely different sound. Of course, the design is also decisive and that is somewhat of the maker's secret, so we cannot reveal everything.

In our shop you can hear the differences between amps with different power tubes during a demo.
